Most surprising to visitors and new residents alike is the diversity of Hawaii's climate and landscape. The west side of each island has a climate unlike the east side, even though these may be only 30 miles apart. From rolling hills, to spectacular mountain peaks, to tropical rainforests, to almost arid beaches, one only has to drive a short distance for another unique experience. Hawaii is blessed with some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. For the most part, the beaches are not crowded even on the most populated island, Oahu, with the exception of Waikiki.

Hawaii has one of the most highly developed and regularly maintained trail systems in the US. Each Island has its' own special allure. The four main islands have a very organized trail system, while the smaller populated islands offer just as wonderful an experience but with less organization.
